Our research is organized into two major groups: Autonomy and Embedded Systems Accelerated, and Low-Energy Autonomy and Navigation, with multiple collaborations across MIT and around the world.
Autonomy and Embedded Systems Accelerated (AREA)
The Autonomy and Embedded Systems Accelerated (AREA) Research group aims to develop the foundations and applications for fast, agile and efficient autonomous vehicles that can navigate complex environments far faster than their human-controlled counterparts
The Low-Energy Autonomy and Navigation (LEAN) Research group aims to understand the foundations and develop applications of energy-efficient robotics by co-designing the computing hardware and algorithms, which often culminates in the design, fabrication and fielding of new chips.
